ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certified Modified Polymer Components supports inventors, start-ups and OEMs by manufacturing custom components and assemblies at its Sunnyvale, California development and manufacturing facility. We focus on secondary operations for all types of polymer tubing, including complex multi-lumen extrusions, to create ramps, tips and most any imaginable feature.

Capabilities include tipping, flaring, hole drilling, marker band placement, reinforced tubing, printing,electrode assembly, and component level assemblies. We are skilled in micromolding, reinforced shafts, introducers, obturators, electrical assembly and tube bending with all thermoplastics and many metals.

Modifications Of Any Complexity

Modified Polymer Components specializes in the design, rapid prototyping and manufacture of reliable, highly precise polymer components, performing modifications of any complexity to custom and off-the-shelf plastic components.

We are experienced in thermoplastic geometries, and can micro-mold to tolerances as low as +/-0.0005. We work with a wide range of polymer materials, and can tip and flare any thermoplastic, including LDPE, HDPE, PVC, Nylon, Pebax, Pellethane, Polycarbonate, FEP, PFA, PTFE, PEEK, ULTEM and composites.

Low To High Volume Production

Modified Polymer Components can scale manufacturing cost effectively, so OEMs can create world-class components in limited to large quantities. These may include improvements and modifications to existing components, custom built components to your specifications, and custom silicon parts at low cost and quick turnaround.

Our design and development capabilities are complimented by small and large scale production. Our low volume production runs allow OEMs to accelerate the delivery of product revisions to customers. Our high-volume production facilities are fully optimized for consistent, high-quality manufacturing.

Quality And Product Consistency

Key challenges of quality and product consistency make process control critical for medical device components manufacturing. Our product development processes are fully documented, from initial prototypes and pilot production to full-scale manufacturing. Our procedures support validation protocol IQ, OQ and PQ documentation.
