Extensive Production, R&D Capabilities

Modified Polymer Components focuses on secondary operations for all types of polymer tubing, including complex multi-lumen extrusions, to create ramps, tips and most any imaginable feature. We invite customers to join us in active discussion to challenge their engineering objectives.

Our capabilities include tipping, flaring, hole drilling, marker band placement, reinforced tubing, printing, electrode assembly and component level assemblies. We are skilled in micromolding, reinforced shafts, introducers, obturators, electrical assembly and tube bending with all thermoplastics and many metals.

Engineering And Manufacturing Facility

Our 49,600 square foot engineering and manufacturing facility houses two R&D environments, multiple white rooms, a state-of-the-art machine shop and large industrial manufacturing spaces. All manufacturing is done in controlled environments operating within ISO class 100,000 standards or better. Portable clean rooms are available for projects requiring increased particle control.

More than 8,000 square feet of manufacturing space is dedicated to controlled environment assembly operations (such as silicone molding and coating services
for medical devices, for example). Fume hoods, laminar flow hoods and several production-ready ovens are in the controlled environment and industrial manufacturing areas. One 2,500 square foot controlled environment is separated for development projects and R and D.


Production Staff

Our production staff includes 5 manufacturing engineers, 5 lead technicians, 5 technicians, 2 supervisors and 70-80 assembly experts. Each workstation has a complete documentation package which includes a customer drawing, work instructions, limit samples and production rate standards per step.

Each workstation has the same setup for ease of operator interchange. A typical project workstation setup consists of an RF power supply, a microprocessor controlled timing unit, air switches for actuation and cooling, and all relevant tools for in-process quality inspection.

Confidentiality and IP

Modified Polymer Components systems and facilities have been developed through the ingenuity of an experienced staff of engineers, machinists and drafts-people who work alongside customers to facilitate every aspect of the development and manufacturing cycles and allow rapid market entry.

We actively produce products for 20-40 different customers daily. Care is taken to keep competitive products separate to maintain confidentiality and IP while utilizing our common knowledge base to make superior products, enabling competitive customers the ability to focus on their technology while leveraging our expertise.
